For many women working in the sciences, technologies, engineering and mathematics disciplines (STEM), careers can develop through diverse experiences. It is a journey shaped by motivation, role models and encouraging environments where talent is trusted and opportunity is made real. But where do these dreams begin? What are those moments that show us what is possible?
This idea inspired Silvia Rota, head of Internal Communications at Hilti Italy, to launch a series of conversations with team members about their journeys into the areas of science and engineering.
“I had the privilege of growing up in a family where choosing what I loved was possible, without prejudice,” Silvia shares. She reflects on the women in science who inspired her early on – different paths, but united by the same drive.
Hilti Italy team members share stories of finding their way into STEM and how they are building careers at the company. Their experiences speak of passion pursued, choices made, stereotypes challenged and of environments that truly support growth.
